Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all physical and electronic court filing is accomplished
- Drafting affidavits of service, demand letters and additional correspondence, including other legal documents as needed
- Providing documents and materials on time to meet client needs, including proofreading legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Managing scheduling, and handling expense posting to files and billings
- Dealing with and responding to client inquiries, and conducting follow-up as required
- Performing data entry with attention to accuracy and efficiency
Core Skills & Requirements:
- Proficiency in file management and organization
- Competency in data entry tasks with precision
- Extremely efficient and adept organizational skills to manage simultaneous tasks effectively
- Strong grammatical skills, including proofreading, attention to detail and accuracy are a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as problem solving skills
- Knowledge of ACL and GhostPractice
- Understands confidentiality of client information
Experience:
- Previous working experience in a Legal Assistant role or co-op internship experience is preferred.
Job Details:
- Full-time (8 hour-shift)
- Work Location: on-site 90 Eglinton Ave E., with opportunity for hybrid after probationary period
- Salary range $50,000-$55,000 per year (salary negotiable and commensurate with experience)
